Let's get this thing started.

These three drawings, both in charcoal, are early works from my life drawing class. Not terribly provocative, but I do feel a strong emotional connection to them. And yes, it initially was an accident that the female's head is cut off.

Enjoy.

Numero Uno.

So, I hope this whole blog thing goes well, this is the third attempt on my part to start up a blog for my artwork and my lack of being able to remember anything at all didn't really help. Third times the charm as they always say.
I have several new projects in the works that I am very excited about, one in particular will be the main focus of my posts but make no mistake, I will always manage to veer off topic from time to time.
I came upon this new idea throughout the course of my time in life drawing while I was being graded on my abilities to draw, paint, and observe the form of naked bodies.
I'm looking to find insight and understanding as to how far the label "art" will go before society no longer deems it worthy of the title "art" and is demoted to pornography or vandalism or just plain crap. Or is a demotion just another way of being ignorant and porn, graffiti, public displays still can be considered as art. Think of the concept of self expression, and that art, by definition, is form and content. At what point does a work of art become offensive?
